Digital Solutions are important feature in today’s technology to maintain tires and enhanced maintenance abilities of Truck Tires. Continental continues to be innovative in providing solutions to our customers in this area.
A new part of this innovation is a pocket integrated into the innerliner (Figure 1) and will be found more frequently in our tires. These integrated pockets will improve the ability to enhance the tires with digital solution sensors and will not affect the performance of the innerliner. This design will not impede the use of the tire without a sensor installed. Figure 2 shows the pocket with a sensor in place.
Removal of the pocket is not recommended unless necessary to repair an injury. The pocket was designed to withstand the retreading process.
